Terms of use
These are beta preview terms for this website, its waitlist form, and the invite-only DriversSeat beta. DriversSeat isn't open to the public yet, and there's no purchase to make. When the service opens, it will carry its own, separate terms for using it; the Acceptable use and Beta confidentiality sections below apply to anyone who uses this site or the beta.
What DriversSeat is
DriversSeat is being built as a car-buying service. Once it opens, the plan is that it requests written, itemised quotes from dealerships and relays the buyer's own decisions back to those dealerships. Nothing on this description is a promise about final features, pricing, or availability.
What DriversSeat is not, and cannot do
DriversSeat does not buy, sell, lease or hold any vehicle. It cannot, at any point:
- Accept an offer from a dealership
- Sign any document
- Agree to or take a deposit
- Run a credit application or check
- Commit anyone to a visit, delivery, or purchase
Every decision that matters is made by the buyer. The buyer signs, if anything is ever signed, at the dealership.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist reserves nothing and is not a purchase, order, deposit, or contract of any kind. It's a request to be emailed when a beta spot is available. We may open the beta to some, all, or none of the people on the list, in any order, and may change or discontinue the waitlist at any time.
No guarantee of price or outcome
Nothing on this site is a promise of any price, discount, or result. Manufacturer programs, financing rates, and market figures shown here are illustrations of how the eventual service is meant to work, not quotes, offers, or commitments from any dealer, lender, or manufacturer.
Illustrative figures
Payment and lease numbers, sample dashboards, and sample offers shown on this site use sample data and typical, estimated rates. They are for illustration only and are not an offer, a quote, or advice for any particular vehicle, buyer, or credit profile.
No advice
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, credit, or financial advice. If you need advice on any of those topics, talk to a licensed professional.
Acceptable use
DriversSeat's software, prompts, rules, data and design belong to DriversSeat. When you use this site, the waitlist, or any DriversSeat beta you are invited to, you agree not to:
- Copy, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any part of DriversSeat, or try to extract its source code, prompts, instructions, rules or data, including by asking its AI to reveal them
- Scrape, crawl or download content or data in bulk, or access DriversSeat with bots or other automated tools, except through a feature we offer for that purpose
- Use DriversSeat, or anything taken from it, to build or train a competing product or service
- Probe, test or get around its security, sign-in, usage limits or access controls
- Share your invite or sign-in with someone else
We may suspend or end access for anyone who does any of these. Where the law gives you a right that these terms cannot take away, these terms don't take it away.
Beta confidentiality
If you are invited to the beta, what you see inside it that isn't public (its screens, how it works, the messages it writes and the features we are testing) is DriversSeat's confidential information. Please keep it to yourself: don't publish it, share screenshots or recordings of it, or describe how it works to others without our written OK. You can always talk about your own car purchase and your own experience with the dealers. This doesn't cover anything that is already public, or that you knew or received from someone else without a duty to keep it private.
"As is," and limitation of liability
This website and waitlist are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, DriversSeat is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or the waitlist.
Governing law

We may update these terms as the beta and the service take shape. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do.
